David A. Weimer, M.D.

Dr. Weimer is an orthopedic surgeon focusing on hip and knee joint replacement and reconstruction, including partial knee replacement, complex hip and knee revision and outpatient joint replacement procedures.
Dr. Weimer received his undergraduate degree from Allegheny College, Meadville, P.A. in 1991. He received a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from D’Youville College, Buffalo, N.Y. in 1995 where he was the recipient of the Physical Therapy Academic Excellence Award. Dr. Weimer earned his M.D. Degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 2002. While in medical school he was elected into prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his orthopaedic residency training at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center, Detroit, MI. in 2007. This was followed by a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at RUSH University Medical Center, Chicago, IL. and Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield, IL. There he was trained in all aspects of hip and knee revision surgery as well as minimally invasive surgical techniques including muscle sparing total hip replacement.
Dr. Weimer is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Mid-America Orthopaedic Association, and the Mahoning Valley Medical Society. Dr. Weimer is on staff at the St. Elizabeth Hospital locations in Youngstown and Boardman, as well as the Surgical Hospital at Southwoods and the Orthopaedic Surgery Center, both in Boardman, and Trumbull Regional Medical Center in Warren.
