John A. Flauto, D.P.M.

Dr. Flauto is a board-certified podiatric physician and surgeon focusing on reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. He is also fellowship-trained in the care of severe wounds and diabetic foot problems.
A native of Youngstown, Dr. Flauto earned two separate undergraduate degrees and his master’s equivalency from Youngstown State University. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, Cleveland, Ohio, graduating with Dean’s List honors. Dr. Flauto went on to complete a Wound Care Fellowship at the Veterans’ Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio. He then completed his two-year surgical residency at University Hospital Systems’ Saint Michael’s Hospital and Richmond Heights Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Flauto is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and has been in practice in the Youngstown area for over 20 years. He is on staff at the Orthopaedic Surgery Center in Boardman and has privileges at the Surgical Hospital at Southwoods, Trumbull Regional Medical Center and all three Mercy Health facilities in Youngstown, Boardman, and Warren. Dr. Flauto is married with four children. He also has a Black Belt in Karate and a Brown Belt in Brazilian Jujitsu.
