YOA Opens Saturday Sports Clinic
August 26, 2010 - Just as the end-over-end rotation of a football through an autumn sky will open new football seasons throughout the Mahoning and Shenango valleys this weekend, Youngstown Orthopaedic Associates will kick off its Saturday Sports Clinic.
The clinic is the best opportunity for injured athletes to get immediate attention and care for musculoskeletal injuries from board-certified, fellowship-trained physicians.
"Our Saturday Sports Clinic is set up specifically for student athletes and their families," said James R. DeCenso, YOA's pratice administrator. "As we've seen many times over the years, instant attention to an injury can often make a difference in how safely and quickly an athlete can get back in action.
"The clinic is dedicated to athletes who play on the weekends and would rather not take the chance of waiting until Monday to see a qualified physician. We have had excellent response from coaches and players involved in football, volleyball, soccer, golf and other college and high school sports."
The clinic is open from 9-11 a.m. during the fall sports season at YOA’s Building A at the northwest corner of Tippecanoe Road and Boardman-Canfield Road in Canfield. More information is available on our Saturday Sports Clinic page.
